School Improvement Plan 2021/22
We have recently reviewed our School Improvement Plan (SIP) in order to ensure continued & sustained improvement at Yew Tree Primary School. The new SIP, which is officially launched in September, builds on previous progress that the school had made since its Ofsted inspection in October 2019. The over-arching principle of our SIP for 2021/22 is ensuring 'Everyday Excellence' in order to showcase the excellent provision and practise at our school.
The full plan is available to download below but, for your information, our Core Priorities for 2021/22 are:
- Develop the use of research to ensure high quality teaching so that pupils (& groups of pupils) develop detailed knowledge and skills in order to achieve the best possible outcomes in English & Maths
- Ensure the school’s curriculum intent and implementation are embedded consistently across the school so that work is of a consistently high quality in all wider curriculum subject areas
- Further strengthen the expertise, and exceptional practice, of leaders at all levels (inc. governors) so that the school is successful in its ability to provide a high-quality education for all pupils.
- Sustain improvements in attendance so that this is better than national outcomes (for all groups of pupils) and that the rate of persistent absence continues to decrease to be in line with the national average.
