At a meeting of the Governing Body, held on 09.09.25, Kyshia Obi was elected as our Chair of Governors and Laura Chamberlain was elected as our Vice Chair. 

Welcome from the Chair of Governors

 It is with great enthusiasm, and a sense of privilege, that I extend a warm welcome to all of you as the Chair of Governors of Yew Tree Primary School.

Whilst I am not responsible for the day-to-day operation of the school, I enjoy the opportunity to work closely with the entire school community and to engage with parents, carers, staff, and children alike in a strategic role. Your insights, active participation, and unwavering support are invaluable on our collective journey. 

I am confident that together, as the Yew Tree family, we can elevate our school to new heights, continuing to keep learning without limits and thrive.

Governing Body Contact Form

Governors are not responsible for the operational or day-to-day running of the school. Therefore, most contact will need to be directed through the Head Teacher or member of the Senior Leadership Team. However, if you do need to contact our Chair of Governors, you can leave a message with Mrs Forrester (Clerk to Governors) who works in the main school office.
