Safeguarding & Equal Opportunity
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We welcome applications from everyone regardless of age, disability, gender, gender identity, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy, race or nationality, religion or belief and sexual orientation. All posts within our school, including volunteer posts, are subject to enhanced disclosure and barring service checks, and where applicable prohibition checks.
Do you have a little time to spare each week? If you are looking for a rewarding experience, we have plenty of opportunities for any parents/carers or friends of Yew Tree Primary School who wish to become more involved with the school. We are always on the look-out for volunteers to help with many different activities, for example:
We love to have volunteers helping in school they really add to the life of the school. If you would like to volunteer to help either hearing reading or by offering other skills, please get in touch via the school office on 01922 626926 or by emailing enquiries@yewtree.sandwell.sch.uk. Somebody will be in touch and send you an editable version of the application form (available below) to complete if we feel that we could use your services.
You’ll need to commit to a regular time each week please so we can plan for you coming along and you will need to complete a volunteer application form which will be sent to you.
We require all volunteers to hold an enhanced disclosure and barring service check and where applicable a prohibition check, we can provide this for you. We will also need two references from colleagues or people who know you.
