Our Current Topic is

1066

We’re travelling back to 1066, probably the most famous date in English history. These are troubled times and there is danger afoot. A much loved king is dead and a French Duke has staked a claim for our kingdom. Discover a changing England, shaped by shires, protected by castles and ruled by foreign knights. Use the famous Bayeux Tapestry to explore the significant events of 1066. What happened when, and how did William of Normandy come to be called the Conqueror?

Homework

The main focus of our homework this year is Reading. Year 4 children should be reading for 20 mins, 5 times a week as per our homework policy.

Reading completed at home should be recorded on Boom Reader. If you are having trouble accessing this then please see your child's class teacher.

As Year 4 children will be completing a multiplication test this year, it is also important that they are practising their times tables. This can be done using the links below:

Year 4 INSPIRE session

We had a great session looking at different ways to learn and practise times tables.
