Language Leaders
Language Leaders at Yew Tree support and promote all kinds of language learning. They are excited by learning new languages and finding out about different cultures. Their role includes supporting Señora Ashfield and their classmates during Spanish lessons and doing mini recaps of the week's language learning. We have been a proud member of the Global School Alliance since 2024. This is a community of over 8000 schools in 127 countries. The GSA’s aim is to provide global learning for children and young people. Our membership has given us the chance to engage with a partner school in Spain, exchange ideas and broaden global perspectives at Yew Tree. Last year we also achieved the Bronze Global School Award in recognition of our international work. Language Leaders play a key part in any projects we undertake with our partner school.
