Year 1's focus artist was Steven Brown. We found out information about him and the media that he used. We then created pieces of art work using primary and secondary colours.

Also, during the week, each child contributed to our large piece of art work where we recreated  'Lewis McZoo.'

Steven Brown is known for using bold and bright colours in his artwork. He used a variety of primary and secondary colours when creating his paintings. We spent some time discovering the different skills needed to successfully create secondary colours. We explored how we can make these lighter and darker through tinting and shading.

We then applied these skills when creating our own McCoo paintings.
