20th April 2020

Hello Year 2 Family,

Welcome back to a new term! We hope you have all had a lovely Easter and enjoyed a well-deserved rest.

We understand that while staying at home due to coronavirus (COVID-19), parents and carers will be concerned about their children's education and the impact of missing school.  It is not the way we wanted to be starting a new term but we are still here to help.

On our webpage below, you will find advice for looking after primary school children and how to help them continue their education. There are project planners and big idea challenges uploaded weekly with a range of tasks for you to complete with your child, as well as resources and external links for the different areas of education. These will be continually updated.

Feel free to send any work you do with the children via Class Dojo or to @YewTreeSandwell on Twitter!

If you need any assistance or have any queries regarding virtual learning, please contact us via Class Dojo

Best Regards,

Year 2 Team

Visitors from the Local Area

Edgmond Hall

2019 Year 2 Parents have a look through the photos from last years trip to Edgmond Hall.

What a fantastic few days we had at Edgmond Hall.  The children worked non-stop to train as Elves to help Santa on his very important day.  From sorting presents to making sure they could get them down the chimney, we even had to practise picking up the reindeer poo.  It was an intense few days, but we're glad to say all of the children passed their Elf training with flying colours and were rewarded with a special gift from Santa himself.

Library Visits

Year 2 will be  visiting our school library to choose books for our classes reading areas.  They will also have the chance to take out a book to take home and supplement their school reading book.
