Pupil Premium & Recovery

Pupil Premium

Schools in England get extra funding from the government called  Pupil Premium' to help them improve the attainment of their disadvantaged pupils.

Evidence shows that children from disadvantaged backgrounds:

  • generally face extra challenges in reaching their potential at school
  • often do not perform as well as their peers

The Pupil Premium grant is designed to allow schools to help disadvantaged pupils by improving their progress and the exam results they achieve.

Information about how we use our Pupil Premium funding is detailed below. However, to find out more about this funding, please CLICK HERE.

2020/21 Pupil Premium Plan

Catch Up Strategy 20/21

In the 20/21 academic year, due to lost learning time as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Government announced additional one-off funding for 'catch up' learning. The funding amount has been calculated as £80 per child. Whilst we are not required to report the spending of this funding (as we do for Pupil Premium), we think it is important to share our strategy for supporting the children in making up for any lost time.
