• Rags to Riches

  Our next Rags to Riches collection day is WEDNESDAY 28th SEPTEMBER. 

   

  Please have a good sort out at home (and get neighbours and relatives to do the same) and send in as many donations as you can from Monday 26th until 9.00am on 28.09.22.

   

  The more we collect, the more money we raise for our School Council.

• Digital Learning Strategy

  As part of our Digital Learning Strategy, all our children (from Y2) are allocated an individual laptop device to use during their time at our school. Y1 parents/carers should read this information carefully and look out for letters next week:

• Non Uniform Days

  After consider diary events, and speaking with some very persuasive children, I have agreed to some additional non-uniform days. 

  I thought this summary may be useful:

   

  Thursday 7th July - Nursery & Reception ONLY - PE kits
  Friday 8th July - whole school - 50p donation

  Wednesday 13th July - whole school - FREE
  Thursday 14th July - whole school - FREE
  Thursday 21st July - whole school - FREE

   

  Please ensure that children wear uniform at all times other than those dates listed here. 

   

  Finally, please do try to donate as much as you can on Friday 8th July. Your donations help us ensure a wide range of activities for your children.

  

• Attendance Spotlight

  Don't forget that our next Attendance Spotlight Competition Day is FRIDAY 17th JUNE. All your child has to do, to be in with a chance of winning a £10 voucher, is be at school on time that day. It really is as simple as that!

  

• At the Beach Theme Day

  Just ahead of the Community Trip to Weston-Super-Mare (on 11.06.22), @dolce have organised an 'At the Beach...' theme menu for FRIDAY 19th JUNE.

• Jubilee Day

  Wed 11 May 2022

  Don't forget that we are hosting Jubilee celebrations on THURSDAY 26th MAY.

   

  Children are invited to come dressed as royalty on that day ready for our special royal tea party lunch. Alternatively, they can wear red/white/blue to represent the British flag.

• PTA MUFTI Days

  Our next PTA meeting, which takes place on Monday, will be finalising arrangements for the Summer Fayre on 14^th July. Keep an eye out for further information coming soon.

   

  There are a number of optional PTA MUFTI (non-uniform) days planned in return for donations for stall. Details will follow but please note that 20^th June, 27^th June and 4^th July are all MUFTI days.

  

• Easter Holiday Camp

  We are delighted to have agreed a letting of our school for the first part of the Easter holiday. 

   

  This is to enable a company to run Easter activity provision as part of the Government's Holiday Activity Funding. As this is funded, places are FREE but are restricted to those eligible (and registered with the Council) for Free School Meals. The provision this time is only open to children aged 8 - 12.

   

  This is being offered to other schools too so get in quick if you want to register your child for a place. We would prefer the spaces to be taken with Yew Tree children.

   

  The children will need to attend EVERY DAY (as places are funded so a commitment to attend is important). This is NOT being run by Yew Tree school so our staff will not be present. This is a separate company letting our school.
